Personalized Learning Rocks

Personalized learning is all the buzz right now, and I'm certain that before it really takes off, lots of people will mess it up.  The key to this movement in education is learner agency.  It is all about the learner taking responsibility for his or her learning.  In order to do this, the learner must know him/herself and how he or she learns best.  To be successful, learners and teachers are going to have to trade control.  Learners need to have a much larger role in controlling what, when, and how they learn.  Teacher-centered classrooms are not nearly as effective and impactful as learner-centered classrooms.
